ABOUT SOLACE ACADEMY
Solace Academy is the latest in a line of new ventures by Solace Family with Sanctuary Retreat preceding it. The main purpose of the Academy is to institutionalise knowledge acquisition and knowledge sharing and dissemination happening already at Solace and Sanctuary.
Treatment for Addiction and its allied support areas are research-intensive and knowledge centric and this means, an institutional mechanism is required not only to fulfil the Solace’s idea of giving back to the community in terms of knowledge dissemination but also to reinforce the ideas and practices that accompany the unique treatment methodology we follow at Solace.

WHY BE AN RSC
Very often, the time spent in a residential treatment setting is insufficient to address all the complex issues that arise or lead to addictions. It is crucial to have the ability to continue recovery while back in the community with a proper support system and network in place. This recovery coach programme helps provide skills to those who are keen to help others and themselves maintain a healthy recovery while in the community. The programme can be employed to effectively link up and tap into community resources in order to maintain recovery from addictions.

Internship – Recovery Coach
- Meant for people who are or have been taking on some role in the field of addiction therapy.
- For those in recovery, a minimum of two years of sobriety or 6 months in a residential treatment experience is essential.
