The renowned 5th APBAM 2018 – Asia Pacific Behavioral and Addiction Medicine Conference held at the Furama Riverfront Hotel from the 27th to 30th November in Singapore, brought together numerous addiction medicine specialists, psychiatrists, psychologist, counsellors, physicians, nurses, medical students as well as NGO's representatives, government officials from the prison department and drug enforcement agencies from across the Asia Pacific region.
Proudly sponsored by Solace Asia, the gathering aimed at not only providing the attending professionals working with addictions and other behavioral challenges the opportunity to continue building their skills and acquire knowledge from the industry leaders, but also the opportunity to meet each other and establish new professional relationships and collaborations.
With a packed 4 days program offering panel discussions, thematic tracks, presentations and workshops, the Solace Asia team worked to further expand the organization’s professional relationships network and reputable addiction treatment services in the city state.
Taking the stage on behalf of Solace was Dr. Prem Kumar Shanmugam , CEO and Clinical Director, whose noteworthy presentation titled: “Difficult Conversations – Engaging those with Difficult Personalities” was delivered before a full house capturing the interest of many professionals. Throughout the 4 days, Dr. Prem Shanmugam did also conduct two workshops on “Recovery Coaching” and participated at a panel discussion on ”Family Approaches to Recovery & Wellness” with Dr. Lee Chengh, Dr. Siva Kumar and Dr. Benny Lam.
